Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré visits a factory revived thanks to the State
Founded in 2008, the cashew processing unit ANATRANS faced challenges that led to the suspension of its activities and the technical layoff of its employees in July 2024.

But thanks to the State, through the Burkinabè Fund for Economic and Social Development (FBDES), which invested 20% in its capital, SN ANATRANS has risen from the ashes.

This revival has helped create over 1,300 jobs—90% of which are held by women—and has given more than 5,000 producers access to “a premium market for their organic and fair-trade cashew nuts.”
