Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape delivers a powerful message at the 81st United Nations General Assembly, calling on major industrial nations to take stronger action on climate change.

Marape has demanded that major polluters “stop your carbon emissions” and take meaningful action to protect vulnerable Pacific nations from the growing threat of sea-level rise. He argued that climate promises must be followed by concrete action and accountability.
