President Bola Tinubu has officially reinstated “Nigeria, we hail thee” as the country’s national anthem. This significant change was confirmed during a joint sitting of the National Assembly, marking the Silver Jubilee of Nigeria’s 4th Republic.

In a historic move, President Tinubu assented to the National Anthem Bill 2024, which reverts the national anthem to the old anthem, “Nigeria, we hail thee”. Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the signing at the joint session on Wednesday, highlighting the importance of the occasion.
