Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and French President Emmanuel Macron met in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon on September 20, 2026, for important talks on the future of Canada-France relations.

The leaders discussed strengthening cooperation in defence, aerospace, energy, critical minerals, artificial intelligence, space and trade, while also exploring a deeper strategic relationship between Canada and the European Union.
